In recent years people have argued endlessly about the Main Stream Media (MSM). Loud voices on both the right and the left claim again and again that it is biased. The right accuses it of being unpatriotic; the left accuses it of being controlled by corporate interests. Navigating this ocean of media in search of solid conclusions was always a challenge.
We all know the term "spin" and that much of what we get from the media is spin. In this world, where many players have their own private interest, it is hard to extract the facts from the spin. Finding more sources only frustrates and gives the feeling of a futile fight for the truth. We are here to change this!
You might feel the media you are exposed to does not represent your point of view. It might not even try to answer the questions that are important to you. Even worse, it might seem to be avoiding the important issues on purpose, trying to lure you with issues that are actually more entertainment than real news.

From now on, every news item, every news source, every opinion voiced online, is up for judgment by the community. It is available for everyone to freely analyze in the open and to contribute. The united voice of the community will show us all where we stand in relation to any issue. It will show if a voice we hear really represents us -- or if it is a voice that only claims to do so.
We will probably discover in the process that there is no one "media". There are many voices. But skewz.com will give you the power to sort them out. To organize and dissect them until they make sense. We will all learn from this experience. And hopefully it will make us all better citizens of this country and this world.
Skewz.com is not about trying to push any single agenda. It is a tool we offer to enhance everyone's ability to understand the politics all around us. These politics affect every issue important to us. It affects the way we live. The way our kids will grow up. And the kind of world they will grow up in.
